An authentic neighborhood bar, Ernie's Inn. Located in the the shopping center at the SE corner of Scottsdale Rd & Shea blvd. Just look for the traffic jam. Ernie's has been here for at least 20 years, maybe more. Karaoke, Pool Tables and lots of partying going on. Karaoke is performed mostle by Phoenix "wannabe professional entertainers" FUN!

Tequilla - What you need to know!
There are four types of tequilas:
Silver (Blanco), Gold (Oro), Reposado, and Anejo.
Silver, also known as Blanco or Plata, is bottled 0 to 60 days after distillation.The Silver tequilas are usually strong flavored and robust tasting.
Gold, also known as Oro, is the same as Silver/Blanco with coloring added. The Golds taste similar to the Silvers except when occasionally caramel or oak flavoring is added to them.
Reposado, also known as Rested, is aged in oak barrels between 2 and 12 months.Reposados taste is sharp!
Anejo, or Aged, is stored in oak barrels for at least one year. Anejos are the smoothest of tequilas, usually the best tasting, and most expensive.
To appropriately taste Tequila:
First SMELL the Tequila. Use a wide bottomed glass, (cognac glass is best) Place the glass directly under your nose and inhale 3 or 4 times, pausing between each one.
Then take a good SIP.- Just as you finish your last inhalation, hold it and take a GOOD sip of the tequila in your mouth. Make sure tequila covers all the surfaces of your mouth and then "chew" the tequila (much like you chew the wine) and swallow - WOW!
Exhale thru your mouth and then you'll know what tequila is all about!
If you're tasting more than one tequila - clean your palate with plain drinking water in between.
